Where are you based?

Perla Photography is based in Mount Martha and specializes in weddings throughout the Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, Dandenongs, Daylesford, and across Victoria. We’re also available for weddings interstate and overseas.

How many weddings have you photographed?

Almost 1000!!!

If you could give one piece of advice what would that be?

It’s tough to narrow it down because we have a ton of tips and tricks to share (that’s why all our couples get pages of helpful articles to make their day as stress-free as possible!). But if we had to give just one piece of advice, it would be: BE YOURSELF! Forget the rules and just be you—whether that’s the playful you, the joyful you, the emotional you, or the slightly clumsy you. We’ll take care of everything else!

How many hours of coverage do you offer?

Our Collections provide 6 to 10 hours of coverage, typically encompassing the bride and groom getting ready, the ceremony, family portraits, a bridal/couple photo session, and part of the reception (such as cake cutting, the first dance, and speeches). However, we offer the flexibility to extend coverage if needed. Your entire day is reserved for you, allowing you to add as much time as necessary. We also assist our couples in crafting a timeline to ensure all the key moments are captured.

How would you describe your wedding photography style?

Our photography style is bright, romantic, and most importantly, authentic—just like our couples! 🙂 We aim to capture your day as it truly is, reflecting who you are as a couple and the love you share, complemented by stunning scenery, amazing sunsets, and the beauty of your surroundings. We understand that you want to cherish every moment of your day, not just the portrait session. That’s why we absolutely love capturing candid shots of you and your guests—laughing, interacting, and having a blast! Let’s be honest: in 10 years, you won’t want to look back and see dark, moody photos (no offense to moody photographers!). If you’re drawn to natural light, soft and light editing, joyful photos of your loved ones, and beautiful landscape shots, then Perla Photography is the perfect fit for you!

How is your photography approach during our wedding day?

We love capturing the natural moments that unfold throughout your day. We truly believe that the raw emotions and imperfect moments are what make your wedding unforgettable. These are the moments that will make you laugh and cry as you flip through your album years from now. At the same time, we want to provide you with those stunning images that showcase perfect lighting and elegant poses—the ones you'll want to print and proudly display on your walls, where you look like movie stars 😉. To achieve this, we offer more guidance during the couple and bridal photo sessions.

When will I receive my wedding images?

You will receive all the images at the highest resolution (printing quality) beautifully reworked and free of watermark between 3 and 6 weeks (depending on the wedding season).

Do you offer wedding albums?

Absolutely! There’s nothing we cherish more than seeing our images brought to life in a beautiful, printed album. The tactile experience of flipping through high-quality pages, each one showcasing your special moments in vivid detail, adds a personal touch that digital images simply can’t match. An album becomes a timeless keepsake, preserving your memories in a format you can hold, touch, and share for years to come. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our work is not just stored on a device but is part of a cherished heirloom that will be enjoyed by you and future generations.

Yes, we do.

Do you travel interstate/overseas?

Is a meeting required?

We understand that many of our couples lead busy lives with work and wedding planning. That’s why we conduct most of our meetings via Zoom for convenience. However, if you prefer to meet in person over a coffee, we’re more than happy to arrange that as well.

Do you support same sex marriages?

Absolutely, we do! We celebrate love in all its forms, regardless of gender, religion, or nationality. To us, every love story is unique and beautiful, and we are dedicated to capturing the essence of each couple’s special connection. We believe that love transcends boundaries and should be cherished and celebrated in all its diversity. No matter who you are or where you come from, we are honored to be part of your journey and to tell your story through our lens.

How do I book?

To secure your date, there are two steps to follow. First, we’ll send you our Terms and Conditions, which you’ll need to sign and return. Second, we’ll provide you with an invoice. To confirm your booking, a 20% deposit is required. Once this payment is received, your date is officially reserved. The remaining balance will be due one month before your wedding.
